More than a decade. So please again state your opinion in WHAT you believe to be right and live with it. Your times at the track is far less of a comparison than an actual fact of lighter is less resistance of inertia causing force to be applied more effectively. To throw a track time in this is far greater of a guess of ones driving ability, compression, air and track conditions, than law of gravity or resistance to force with greater ease can be applied with that less weight which all of this you do know. For these are used in all of the racing world. Guess we don't need lighter wheels, lighter cars, lighter parts, for they don't make a difference in your mind or do they...... Kinda like that AL drive line deal,,,,lol. Sure steel is stronger, but it would take lots and lots of pressure over years in a modest case to break an AL shaft and the rear end does not hamper with this TQ spec as you might think as well. So please don't pass that they are going to break on people. Have you seen one yet other than Chris? Still not sure what happen to his other than failure to manufacture work. Because it wasn't TQ pressure over load from Sport 500 at under 500rwhp and TQ to match. With the numbers of cars out there with AL shafts, it's clear that anything can happen, but looking at the odds here... not likely at all. I've talked to many shops about this subject sense it came up. But sure you have too,,,,,,lol. So in the end, the board is open for discussion, opinions and facts. Yours like some of mine is just that. And if you look at my profile smart guy, what's 8 years in the Marines ( joined when I was 22 ), plus a join date here of Sept 99 ( first time here was 98 ), to 2002 Sept add up as far as my age? Please don't take this the wrong way. But you just started in the car world and think you know it all and have nothing to show for it but your modest mods list and an occupation that just seems to fit............ You had models when I was driving them........ another fact. :)
